PHOTOS‘Insecure’ Star Sarunas Jackson Explains Why Amanda Seales Was Escorted Out Of Party — 'You Can't Be A Disrespectful-A** Human Being'

Sarunas Jackson broke his silence regarding the recent drama among the Insecure cast. The actor addressed the drama behind the scenes at the Black Emmys party after his costar Amanda Seales was removed on September 29. After she had trouble getting into the celebration, security escorted Amanda, 38, out. Her Insecure castmates watched her leave and did not intervene. Now, Sarunas, 29, spoke out about the incident.
"You can’t be a disrespectful-a** human being and expect people to want to hang out with you,” the actor wrote in a now deleted tweet. “It’s quite simple. Sit it out.”
Amanda was initially shocked to find out that she was not on the guestlist for the Black Emmys party that took place on September 29. However, she revealed that she did not have a good relationship with Issa Rae’s publicist, Vanessa Anderson, who organized the celebration. “We are not friends,” Amanda said of the relationship.
“She has never been nice to me, ever,” Amanda revealed on the “Side Effects of Professionalism” episode of her podcast. “She’s always had curtness, and she’s always seemed to be bothered simply by my demeanor, my way of communicating with her, etc.”
The comedian continued, “At a certain point it became, ‘Well this is not someone I need to speak to because I don’t work for her, she doesn’t work for me. There’s no reason for us to interact for all intents and purposes. So we don’t.”
The actress also recalled that last year she had trouble getting into the same party and Vanessa was cold to her when she arrived. “Amanda, nobody has time for this right now,” she recalled Vanessa telling her. “I do not have time for this!”
This year, however, she didn’t make the cut for the guestlist. Amanda found it “wildly humiliating” to be denied access, along with hurt that her castmates didn’t help her when she was thrown out.
“I’m also seeing people seeing this happen and they’re doing nothing,” Amanda recalled. “If I saw this happening to someone else, I would have been all up in that s**t.”
