Amy Duggar just became the first Duggar to address Derick Dillard’s transphobic tweeting scandal and it looks like she’s siding with TLC on this one. As OK! readers’ know, The Learning Channel recently announced that Jill Duggar’s husband would no longer be appearing on the family’s show, Counting On, after he went on multiple transphobic Twitter rants against his fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings. While the rest of the Duggar clan has remained mum about Derick’s firing, Amy made it clear on Wednesday that she doesn’t support divisive and uncompassionate language, and even commented her support for the woman who first called Derick out for his bullying of Jazz.
“You might not agree with someone or their lifestyle but you SHOULD be compassionate and show God's love regardless to everyone,” Amy tweeted.
That’s when a Twitter user replied to Amy’s comment, thanking her for her understanding. However, the commenter was the very same woman who started the epic Twitter war with Derick that seemed to be the catalyst for his firing. Last week, Derick replied to her comment, telling her that he "pitied Jazz" and thought she was being "taken advantage of."

“This is what I was trying to say to Derick,” the Twitter user replied to Amy. “It’s okay that you don’t agree with the trans community, thats your opinion and that’s fine. But you can’t bully and be mean to others ? this is coming from an atheist! I’m glad you understand what it means to be a good Christian, Amy.”
Amy then replied directly to her tweet, writing, “I have friends that are gay and I still love them as a person. Thank you for following.”
As previously reported, the Duggar family is “divided” after Derick’s comments about the 16-year-old reality star. “There’s a lot of outrage between increasingly divided factions,” a source revealed to .
