Amy Schumer is changing her status back to single. After nearly 18 months together, the funny girl and her boyfriend Ben Hanisch have officially called it quits. The couple first met on a dating app back in November 2015 and often shared photos of each other on social media. But in recent months, both Amy and her furniture designer beau had been spotted together less and less. And despite recently gushing over Ben in multiple interviews, Amy’s rep officially confirmed the pair is no more.

“Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends,” a rep for Amy told Us Weekly.

Amy and Ben’s split comes on the heels of her interview with Glamour U.K. for the May issue, in which Amy called Ben “very protective.” “He’s really cool…I’m so lucky that I met him,” she told the mag.

In an interview with Howard Stern on May 3, the actress was less candid about the future of her relationship with Ben. “I love the idea of committing to someone and making that choice and I want to have a family but right now, we are not in talks,” Amy explained.

Until Amy’s rep confirmed the break-up, Ben kept tight-lipped about break-up rumors. “I’m going to have to decline to comment. I’m just going to say no comment,” Ben told RadarOnline.com when asked about reports of a split.
