Andie MacDowell is very excited about her daughter Margaret Qualley’s new relationship with Pete Davidson. On September 28, the Groundhog’s Day actress spoke about their blossoming romance and called it “beautiful.” The lovebirds have been seen spending plenty of time together and appear “very happy.”
The Four Weddings and a Funeral actress revealed that she has yet to meet the Saturday Night Live comedian. “I FaceTimed with Pete the other day or no, she took a video of me to send to Pete that’s what it was,” Andie, 61, recalled.
However, she is happy to see her daughter with Pete, 25. “She has a beautiful relationship with him but I don’t want to step on her relationship too much,” the St. Elmos’s Fire actress added, “They have a nice relationship.”
Andie isn’t the only one who sees that the comedian and Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood actress enjoy each other’s company. According to a source, the couple looked “very happy” when they arrived together in Venice this September. “They were on the same flight and seemed very happy,” the source revealed to People. “It was clear that they were together.”
The insider continued, “They were very smiley and flirty. Some fans approached them and they happily signed autographs. They left the airport together for the same hotel.” The couple attended the premiere of Margaret’s film Seberg at the Venice Film Festival together as well, and were spotted spending time together in Italy.
News broke about Pete and Margaret’s relationship on August 28. A source told Us Weekly that, “they’ve been seeing each other for a couple of months and Margaret is really excited about him.”
The Set It Up actor has previously been linked to Ariana Grande. They called off their short-lived but highly publicized engagement in October 2018. Pete was also romantically linked to Kate Beckinsale in January 2019. They were spotted leaving a Golden Globes after party together and went on PDA-packed dates.
Along with Seberg and Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood, Margaret, 24, has appeared in the HBO series The Leftovers and the FX miniseries Fosse/Verdon. Margaret is the youngest of Andie’s three children that she shares with ex-husband Paul Qualley.
