Angelina Jolie revealed the advice she gives her and ex-husband Brad Pitt's three daughters, Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne, in a recent piece written for Elle Magazine.

While explaining why the world is in need of more "wicked" women, Angelina, 44, spoke candidly about how she helps her own daughters grow into the best women they can be.

"I often tell my daughters that the most important thing they can do is to develop their minds," she said of Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and Vivienne, 11.

"You can always put on a pretty dress, but it doesn’t matter what you wear on the outside if your mind isn’t strong," the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil star added.

She continued, "There is nothing more attractive—you might even say enchanting—than a woman with an independent will and her own opinions."

In the piece, Angelina also talked about how proud she is of her three sons, Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, and Knox, 11. "I could not be prouder of my sons for the men they are becoming, the way they respect their sisters and are respected by them," she wrote.

Maddox recently enrolled in South Korea’s Yonsei University to study biochemistry.
