Angelina Jolie is still struggling with the single life after her split from her estranged husband Brad Pitt. While the Hollywood actress has made it a point to keep her personal life private, Angie has finally opened up about her messy divorce and just how much it has affected her.
“Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together. But really I am just trying to get through my days,” Angelina revealed to the Sunday Telegraph. “I don’t enjoy being single. It’s not something I wanted. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard.”
“Emotionally it’s been a very difficult year,” she continued. “And I have some other health issues. So my health is something I have to monitor.”
Amid her divorce drama, the mother-of-six revealed that she was diagnosed with hypertension and Bell’s palsy.
“I feel sometimes that my body has taken a hit, but I try to laugh as much as possible,” she added. “We tend to get so stressed that our children feel our stress when they need to feel our joy. Even if you are going through chemo, you need to find the ability to love and laugh. It may sound like a postcard, but it’s true.”
As previously reported, Angelina filed for divorce from Brad in September 2016 after an alleged incident involving their son Maddox, 16, aboard a private plane. A nasty divorce battle then ensued, with both parties making shocking allegations against the other. However, in recent months things have seemingly cooled down between the two — who married in 2014, after dating for 10 years — as they are said to be on speaking terms and even rumored to have placed their divorce on hold.
