Anna Duggar is opening up about her family! In an emotional Instagram post, the mom of five got candid about the moment that changed her life.
On Monday, Oct. 8, Anna took to Instagram to wish her daughter Mackynzie a happy birthday. The proud mom posted a series of photos taken over the years, from her daughter as a newborn to her as a big sister.
In the caption, Anna gushed over the way Mackynzie changed her life. “9 years ago today we transitioned from newlyweds to a family of 3 when our first daughter Mackynzie was born!” she wrote.
“Mackynzie, it has been a joy to watch you grow into such a kind, fun and caring young lady! You live up to the meaning of your name as you are a wise leader!” she continued.

I pray that as you follow Jesus many will follow your example and find the joy and hope only Jesus can bring!” Anna added. “You are a treasure of unmeasurable worth and it’s been a pleasure to be your mommy — love you so much!”
Anna has been through a lot of over the years. In 2015, it was revealed her husband Josh had sexually assaulted some of his own sisters as a teen. A few months later, the disgraced Duggar admitted to cheating on his wife via the website Ashley Madison. Through it all, Anna has stayed by his side.

Anna wasn’t the only one to wish Mackynzie a happy birthday. Her in-laws Jim Bob and Michelle wished Mackynzie — who is their oldest grandchild — a happy birthday on Facebook.
