Ariana Grande announced her latest single “7 Rings” would be released on January 18. The song was inspired by a shopping spree the singer went on after her split from Pete Davidson in October of 2018. During the trip, she bought a total of SEVEN engagement rings for herself and six of her friends!

Ariana’s new song is reportedly about a post-breakup shopping trip she took her six friends on to get diamond rings.

The six friends to receive engagement rings were Rim Taya ShawkiTayla ParxCourtney ChipoloneVictoria MonetAlexa LuriaNjomza. Ariana, 25, posted a picture of them on January 16. Most of the girls also appeared in her music video for “Thank U, Next.”

One of the alleged lyrics to her song is, “They say money doesn't solve your problems/Whoever said that must not have enough money to solve them.”

Ariana name dropped her ex Pete, 25, in the self-love single “Thank U, Next” and it seems as though he also inspired her upcoming single “7 Rings.”

The former couple called off their engagement in October of 2018. Ariana reportedly returned the $93,000 ring Pete got her shortly after their breakup.
