Ariana Grande Makes Emotional Return To Manchester For The First Time In Over Two Years

Ariana Grande went back to Manchester, England on August 25 for the first time since the One Love Manchester benefit concert she organized to support the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing. Though nervous, the “thank u, next” singer, 26, was excited to return.

Ariana headlined the Manchester Pride Festival and reportedly performed some of her hits including “7 Rings,” “Break Free,” “No Tears Left to Cry,” and “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” among others.

"I'm so happy to be with you, so thank you for having me. Sorry, I'm so nervous,” the popstar said to her audience during the show. I had so much more to say but I'm really very overwhelmed. So thank you."

Before her performance, Ariana posted a special message to Manchester on Instagram. "On our way to Manchester pride. Love u so much. Can’t wait to give u all our love. You’re my heart in every way. See u soon," she wrote. The English city is a bittersweet stop for Ariana, after the Manchester Arena bombing two years ago.

After the terrorist attack on Ariana organized a tribute concert for June 4, 2017 to raise money for the victims. One Love Manchester featured Justin BieberKaty PerryMiley CyrusColdplay, and others.

The benefit concert raised $13 million for the victims of the attacks, and Ariana was thrilled with the turnout. “The last thing I would ever want is for my fans to see something like that happen and think it won," she said, thrilled she could make a difference for everyone affected.
