Colton Underwood has been dealing with some strong personalities on The Bachelor – especially contestants Hannah Brown and Caelynn Miller-Keyes. They have a long-standing rivalry that dates back to their competition for Miss USA and the two finally battled it out to be Colton’s queen on the January 21 episode!
Caelynn (Miss North Carolina) and Hannah B. (Miss Alabama) were together on the first group date of the night. Once Hannah saw Caelynn and Colton flirting she lost it. “I’m trying my hardest to not get upset but then Caelynn is just everywhere. I didn’t come here to compete in another pageant,” she said.
Behind the scenes, she also admitted, “It’s not easy to see Caelynn moving forward with Colton. It brings out all of my insecurities and I start to spiral.” The two pageant queens used to be Miss USA roommates and friends until the finals of the competition where Caelynn won 1st runner up and Hannah B. didn't place.
Hannah B. then approached Colton to talk about Caelynn. “I was just in a high-stress situation with her and it was like the most hostile environment I’ve ever been in. It’s hard because it’s like, if that’s what you want, you don’t want me,” she told The Bachelor.
Enraged, Miss Alabama told another competitor, “There is a beautiful monster inside of me and today I’m going to have to let it out. There’s a tank of rage and it is full. The beast is about to come out.”
Colton eventually rushed to talk to Miss North Carolina to get her side of the story. Caelynn referred to Hannah B. as “manipulative”, “deceitful” and “toxic.” It seemed as though Colton believed Caelynn more since he grabbed the group date rose and gave it to her.
Hannah B. continued to bash Caelynn and told the former NFL player, “She’s not showing all of who she is when she’s with you.” This led him to burst into tears with Chris Harrison.
Both pageant queens walked away from the intense night with roses but neither were happy that the other didn’t get eliminated.
