PHOTOS‘Bachelor’ Alum Jade Roper Tolbert Stripped Of $1 Million DraftKings Prize Following Cheating Allegations
Jade Roper Tolbert and her husband and former costar Tanner Tolbert will not be receiving the $1 million prize from DraftKings, according to People. The news comes after the Bachelor alum, 33, was accused of colluding with her husband, 32, in order to win in January 2020.
At the time, DraftKings had announced that they were “looking into” the situation and on Saturday, January 25, they announced that they had “decided to update the standings.”
A spokesperson for the organization released a statement to People stating, “DraftKings has decided to update the standing for several contests. All customers affected by the updated standings will be notified directly.” They added, “It is our general policy not to comment further on such matters.” Jade is no longer listed as the winner of the fantasy contest, and the former second-place finished now listed at the top, according to ESPN.
Earlier this month, the reality star took to her social media to confirm that she had finished in first place during the DraftKing’s Millionaire Maker contest for the NFL’s wild-card round. However, it didn’t take long for fans to realize that something didn't not adding up. Many users online began to accuse the social media influencer of working with Tanner, who also entered the contest, in order to gain an unfair advantage.

Many people online began sharing screenshots of the couple’s lineups, suggesting that they had seemingly coordinated their choices. Users also noted that the duo each picked 150 lineups, the maximum allowed, thus generating 300 unique entries. According to DraftKing’s website, “group play behavior designed to gain an unfair advantage over others” is against their policy.
Shortly after the accusation began, Tanner came to the defense of his wife, telling People that he and Jade, “We respect that DraftKings feels they must to do their due diligence in regard to Jade winning their $1 million dollar prize for the fantasy contest for the NFL’s wild-card round this weekend.”
He continued, “Though we must ponder, would the questions, accusations, and curiosity about this win be the same if the winner had been male and someone who wasn’t already in the public eye?” Tanner claimed that his wife’s win was “pure luck.”
Tanner concluded his statement saying, “It is incredibly important for us to establish that Jade’s win is nothing more than pure luck and we are confident that DraftKings will determine the same.”
