Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s 10-year marriage may be over, but the divorce drama has only just begun! From their war over money to living arrangements, get the latest and most jaw-dropping developments from the former A-list couple’s divorce.
Ben and Jen didn’t give up once they began to have marital issues, as they went to therapy for months. The duo was first spotted attending a session in November 2014.
Reports are claiming that Ben’s alleged cheating and gambling addiction contributed to the demise of their marriage. But fans will never know, as the duo made a deal to never discuss what caused the relationship to fail. A source told RadarOnline that Ben and Jen “made a pact that they are never going to talk to anyone about their divorce. They’re done talking about it. Even in interviews.”
While the public will not get the scoop on what went wrong, the couple’s inner circle with learn more. “They’re going to send out talking points to those closest to them about how in Hollywood, 10 years is a huge success, and their beautiful kids are a massive success,” the source said.
The Alias alum and Gone Girl star announced their split one day after their 10-year anniversary. Divorce lawyer Laura Wasser revealed to Radar that the reason they split after 10 years together was so Jen could receive more alimony from her ex-husband. “Ten years in California generally reflects a long-term marriage,” the lawyer said. “When you hit 10 years, it usually means that the court will continue to have jurisdiction over spousal support, absent an agreement to the contrary.” She added, “If you’ve been married for 10 years, people don’t usually agree to a cutoff date for ongoing spousal support, which would otherwise be half the length of the marriage.” Jen could get support payment indefinitely, as opposed to just for five years.

But according to an insider, Ben tried to prevent her from filing after their 10-year anniversary. Looks like she won that argument!
Although Ben and Jen have been spotted out and about together, a real estate insider told Radar that he actually moved out of their Brentwood home in late February, early March. “While Ben has been spotted in the Brentwood neighborhood since then, it’s only been to see the kids,” the source said.
As for their current living situation, the source explained that Ben isn’t going to be living near his ex! “Brentwood just isn’t Ben’s scene, and he wants to live the life of a Hollywood bachelor,” the insider said. “He has the money and fame to do it, and Jen seemed to be relieved that Ben moved out.” As for Jen, she’s “made no mention to family or friends about looking for a new place to live. She has always seemed very happy in Brentwood with the kids.”
Although Jen is staying put in their home, she isn’t going to let it remind her of Ben! The Nine Lives actress is starting over by remodeling her 8,798 square foot home into a bachelorette pad! In the building permit obtained by Radar, the work will consist of “interior remodel to master bedroom and bathroom.”
Ben moving out became official days before the statement was released, as moving trucks were spotted outside of their home twice in one week.

Ben’s career has flourished with roles in Argo, Gone Girl and the soon-to-be blockbuster hit Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, but now it’s Jen’s turn! RadarOnline reports that Jen plans to make a major comeback in an action flick! “Jen can really kick some butt,” the source said. “She’s a very competent martial arts expert thanks to Alias and she wants one more chance to prove herself in the genre.” The insider added, “JJ Abrams will find a part for her, but Jen’s made him promise to not relegate her to ‘girlfriend’ of’ type roles … Jen wants to be the star, not the star’s girlfriend.”
