Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may be keeping things amicable after their split, but others in their family aren’t getting along nearly as well! According to an insider, the divorced duo’s mothers have been feuding ever since Ben and Jen decided to go forward with their divorce. They didn’t get along very well while their kids were married, but now things are getting even worse. And Ben’s mother Christine (pictured here) is especially hurt, since Jen’s mom Patricia is thrilled her daughter finally kicked Ben to the curb!
“Christine and Patricia have both temporarily moved to the west coast while Ben and Jen get their act together,” the source told OK! exclusively. “They’re essentially using their moms as message bearers.”
But it turns out Christine and Patricia (pictured here) get along even worse than Ben and Jen do! “Trouble is, they both want to help with the kids (Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel) and they’re butting heads a lot about scheduling,” the insider claimed.
Added the source, “They’re both super-protective and controlling, and it’s only gotten worse since Ben and Jen decided to divorce.”
There’s also tension over the fact that Patricia encouraged the split, whereas Christine tried to get Jen to call it off. “Christine was hoping to the last minute that they’d last the course, while Patricia’s thrilled Jen had the courage to call it quits,” the insider claimed.
