Beyoncé graces the cover of Vogue's legendary September Issue, where the global superstar opened up about a myriad of topics in her personal life. One in particular detailed the complications she faced while pregnant with her twins Sir and Rumi, where the "XO" singer revealed she weighed 218 pounds the day she gave birth to them.
It was revealed last week that Beyoncé was given unprecedented control over the iconic September Issue, the cover of which was revealed on Monday morning. The cover and spread was shot by 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell, who was the magazine's first ever black photographer to do so.
Beyoncé discussed her journey to motherhood for a second time in regards to her twins Sir and Rumi. She gave birth to them on June 13th, 2017, but didn't upload the first image of them until a month later.
Her pregnancy wasn't easy though, as Beyoncé revealed she was 218 pounds the day she welcomed them into the world. And her weight wasn't the only issue she had up until that point.

"I was swollen from toxemia and had been on bed rest for over a month," she said during the Vogue interview.
It became an all hands on deck situation the day she gave birth. "My health and my babies’ health were in danger, so I had an emergency C-section," she revealed. She also discussed how she comes from broken male-female relationships as well as how she felt "neglected, lost, and vulnerable" after a series of personal and professional "betrayals and heartbreaks."
