A family member told RadarOnline that Bobbi Kris’ family have gathered for a conference to weigh their options about her brain-dead state and make the final call this week.

Her grandmother Cissy Houston, who is the mother of the late Whitney Houston, arrived in Atlanta for the family meeting.

However, the final decision whether or not she should be kept alive with machines will be left to her father, Bobby Brown, who has been handling who visits his daughter at Atlanta's Emory University Hospital.

He added that doctors are not obligated to continue treating a patient if they don’t think they can help them, but the final decision is always left to the family.

“Patients’ families can decide if they want to push forward with continued medical treatments, even if their loved one is in a devastated situation and has little hope for survival,” Dr. DeGeorgia told Radar. “You would usually abide by the family’s wishes, unless you decide that they are brain dead and that they have no brain function.”
