Bradley Cooper nearly avoided an awkward run-in with Lady Gaga's ex-fiancé Christian Carino at the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood premiere on Monday, July 22.
A gaggle of A-listers stormed the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
Christian, 50, arrived at the event earlier than Bradley, 44. The A Star Is Born director attempted keep a low profile by wearing a hat and sunglasses.
Bradley opted to skip the red carpet and head straight into the theater. He sat in the middle of a row, while Christian chatted with a couple of women before taking his seat.
The American Sniper actor and the talent agent kept their distance following the premiere. Christian attended the afterparty at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel but Bradley was no where to be found.
The close encounter comes five months after the "Shallow" singer and Christian split. Bradley also broke up with his longtime love Irina Shayk in June.
Rumors that the A Star Is Born costars were an item were fueled by their chemistry during their performance at the 2019 Oscars.
Fans were convinced that Gaga and Bradley were in love due to their displays of affection while promoting their movie during awards season. The talk reportedly got underneath Irina's skin and "didn’t help" with her relationship with him which contributed to their split.
