Bridget Moynahan opened up about her breakup with ex-boyfriend Tom Brady and the birth of their son in her new tell-all book, Our Shoes, Our Selves. The actress took a look back at that chaotic time in her life and revealed how she really felt when it all went down.
“Having a baby should have been the most joyous time of my life, but instead I felt assaulted,” the 47-year-old wrote in her book.
The Blue Bloods star explained, “It’s unnerving to be followed and stalked like that, especially during such an emotionally vulnerable time.”
She admitted that due to the high amount of media attention, she “barely left” her house . “I became reclusive for a bit,” she wrote. “I became wildly private. I shared little and only with a select few.”
Bridget also said that she credits her black leather Miu Miu motorcycle boots for helping her move on from the split. The John Wick actress added, "I decided that these boots would give me back some of the confidence and strength that I had lost — lost from a very public breakup; lost from having a baby on my own; lost from two surgeries to correct hernias from having my baby. Lost from not losing the baby weight because the two surgeries kept me from recovering; lost from feeling incessantly violated by the paparazzi.”
After the highly-publicized split in 2007, Tom started dating model Gisele Bundchen. The couple started a relationship just several months after Bridget announced she was pregnant with their son Jack.
Gisele also wrote about Bridget's pregnancy in her own book, Lessons: My Path To A Meaningful Life. The Brazilian beauty wrote, "Two months into our relationship, Tom told me that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. The very next day, the news was everywhere and I felt my world had been turned upside down."
