In an upcoming episode of The Hills: New Beginnings, ahead of Brody Jenner and ex Kaitlynn Carter's messy split, he addressed rumors that the two had a "polyamorous relationship.”
In a promo clip for the episode airing on Monday, September 2, Kaitlynn, 30, says,"Come to find out, I'm hearing people were talking about me and Brody and our personal life, saying that we have an open relationship."
The clip goes to a flashback of her and Brody, 36, on a FaceTime call with costar Stephanie Pratt, who revealed who was spreading the rumors. "She’s just, like, asking about your relationship," Stephanie said during the call. "She’s like, ‘I don’t know. Isn’t there someone else, like, involved?’ She thinks you guys are like in this, like, polyamorous relationship.”
Brody replied, "That’s none of her business...You know, we just, we like what we like."
The Selfé founder went into further detail of her relationship with the Princes of Malibu star in a confessional. “When Brody and I first were together, we were young, we were crazy, we were, like, you know, basically just trying to have the time of our lives,” she said. “So we did a lot of things in our relationship that, you know, I certainly wouldn’t say I regret, but the level of gossip that I feel happens in the group — it just makes me angry.”
The couple announced their separation on August 2. Shortly after the split, Kaitlynn was spotted kissing Miley Cyrus who had just broken up with husband Liam Hemsworth.
The Hills: New Beginnings airs on MTV Mondays at 10 p.m.
