If you thought a little thing like pregnancy was going to stop Cardi B from having fun, you were very, very wrong. As the rapper explained in the latest Rolling Stone magazine cover story, her baby shower is about to be “lit.”
Cardi got really real when she spoke to Rolling Stone recently, making it very clear that she’s not going to have any ole boring baby shower just because she’s pregnant.
“I want a lit baby shower,” she told the magazine. “My baby shower’s not starting at no 5:00. My sh*t is going to start at 9 p.m. because that’s how I celebrate. That’s how Caribbean people celebrate.”
Though she laughed as she talked about her "lit" shower, she was quite serious about what she wants to go down on her special day. “I don’t like baby showers that be at 5 p.m. in the backyard, eating, cooking hors d’oeuvres," she added. "Nah. Sh*t, I might even drink some red wine. Red wine’s healthy, right?”
Cardi, who’s expecting a daughter with rapper Offset, didn't back down from her drinking comments —even after certain members of her crew expressed their concern. “Don’t let Mama see you drinking that red wine,” sone of Offset’s family members told her during the interview. “She’s going to have a fit.”
Clearly, the future mom hasn’t slowed down one bit since becoming pregnant— she recently locked lips with Rita Ora in the sizzling music video for the singer's new single, “Girls.” Cardi also recently donned rainbow-colored hair and posed for Instagram in a slinky white outfit.
