Carson Kressley clarified comments he made previously about the original Queer Eye being more "groundbreaking" than the Netflix reboot. He said he actually has "love" for the new show and the new Fab Five. Read on for more details.

"I loved being a part of the original Queer Eye, and I love the reboot," Carson, 48, told People. "When I said the original was more groundbreaking it only meant that the original aired in an era when there was far less representation of gay people on television."

"We have come a long way and I am very proud to have passed the torch to the wonderful and talented new cast,” he continued.

He'd previously said at an Emmys event that while he was "thrilled" the reboot was nominated for four awards, it was "a little more groundbreaking back when we won an Emmy in 2004."

The Netflix reboot is currently nominated for Emmys in four categories including Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Outstanding Casting For A Reality Program, Outstanding Cinematography For A Reality Program, and Outstanding Picture Editing For A Structured Or Competition Reality Program.
