On Sunday, October 6th, Tyler Baltierra's wife posted an exciting baby announcement!
"If I get pregnant again and pink confetti comes out of my gender reveal balloon, I'm knocking the whole food table over! Party over everybody go home," Cate posted on Instagram. She captioned it, "Yep!"
The fan favorite MTV couple welcomed their third baby girl in February 2019. They named their daughter Vaeda Luma.
As fans may remember, the couple threw a gender reveal party. In October 2018, the couple revealed that they were expecting another baby girl! “I was so shocked that it was a girl because I for sure thought it was a boy!” Cate told Us Weekly at the time of the announcement. “Tyler knew the sex before I did."
Cate admitted that at first she was "so shocked" and "almost cried" because she "wanted a boy so badly." However, shortly afterwards came excitement! "I’m super excited it’s a girl now. Since our miscarriage, I just am thankful to get another chance, and as long as it’s healthy, that’s all that matters," she said.
In 2015, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Novalee Reign.
In 2009, the couple welcomed their first daughter together, Carly, while starring on 16 & Pregnant. The couple placed the newborn for adoption after her birth. As seen on Teen Mom OG, the couple still has a relationship with her and her adopted parents.
Just weeks after welcoming Vaeda, they couple already started planning for baby number four! In March 2019, Cate opened up about wanting a baby boy!
“Yes, we want more children,” she told Us Weekly. “We really want to try for a boy.”
At the time, they said they will start planning baby number four when "Vaeda is a little older, like, six months to a year."
In late 2017, Cate revealed that she suffered a miscarriage. The extremely heartbreaking time in their lives was documented on Teen Mom OG.
Shortly after the miscarriage, Cate checked herself into treatment for a few weeks. She returned home, but felt as if she needed more time and returned for a few more weeks.
Despite all the ups and downs, Tyler remained by her side throughout it all and supported his wife.
In March 2019, Cate gushed over her "rainbow baby" Vaeda.
“This baby is our rainbow after the storm,” Cate said to Us Weekly.
She even revealed that the two were using protection, but Vaeda "just wanted to be here. It was very unexpected!”
Cate and Tyler started dating back in 2005 and are middle school sweethearts. Tyler popped the question for the first time in 2010, but the two called off the engagement. After a few bumps in the road, they mended their relationship and he asked her to marry him again in December 2014.
The two finally wed in August 2015 with the MTV cameras capturing it all.
