Chelsea Houska is in full mom mode and trying to do what's best for her daughter, Aubree. The Teen Mom 2 star learned that her first baby daddy and ex-boyfriend Adam Lind gave up rights to his second daughter, so now she is trying to figure out what's best for her 9-year-old daughter. Chelsea revealed to her producer that she got a phone call from Adam's second baby mama, Taylor Halbur, informing her that he gave up all rights to his second daughter, Paislee.
The mother-of-three said, "He can't see her at all." Mandie, the producer, replied, "Well, that's big news."
While holding their newborn daughter Layne Ettie, Chelsea's husband Cole DeBoer added in, "That's rock bottom. Look at this, do you think anything would ever come between this? F**k, yeah right."
"How can you have this, watch them grow up and then be like oh, you're right, f**k that."
Chelsea revealed more details about the court session. "The judge said, 'You realize this is forever?' to him and he said, 'Yeah.' So I guess her husband adopted Paislee now and that's that.
The producer asked Chelsea if she plans on discussing it with her 9-year-old daughter and she replied, "I think we should. I think she should know what's going on or what happened. But you just have to be careful with the way you word it. It's going to be confusing her, because technically, that's not her sister, I mean it's obviously going to be her sister but you know what I'm saying. Do we bring up that it's an option for her as well?"
"You can adopt her," Chelsea told her husband. Mandie asked if Cole would and he said, "I would do it right now if she wants to. I would never make her do anything."
Chelsea explained that their situation is a bit different than Taylor and Paislee's because Aubree is older and possibly closer to Adam's side of the family.
"It's totally different. It's hard because we know we feel like is the best for her and I feel like the best for her would be if he was just completely out of the picture instead in and out hurting her," Chelsea explained.
