Taraji P. Henson's identity was allegedly stolen by a Chicago mom, Alicia Newby. A court hearing was held on Sunday, July 28.

The pregnant mother of six, was accused of stealing the identities of several people, including Taraji, 48, and collecting thousands of dollars worth of merchandise that were mailed to fake addresses.

She allegedly hacked into Taraji's emails and the actress' manager noticed the fraudulent transactions in August 2018.

Alicia was released on a $10,000 signature bail and electronic monitoring. She is forbidden to contact her victims.

It is still unclear how Alicia and the Empire star were connected, but police are investigating if any other cast members from the Fox drama show were also defrauded.
