Ciara and husband Russell Wilson took a stand against her ex-fiancé, Future, after he went off against the NFL star in a radio interview. The couple took a more subtle approach to retaliating against the rapper's bold statements. Keep reading to see how they responded.
Future claimed Russell was being a push over. He discussed the athlete's relationship with Ciara in an interview with FREEBANDZ RADIO Presents: THE WIZRD on Apple Music's Beats 1. "He do exactly what she tell him to do. He not being a man in that position,” the rapper said.
"You not tellin’ her, ‘Bro, chill out with that on the internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband! You better not even bring Future’s name up,'” he continued.
He was comparing his ex's current relationship to theirs before infidelity allegedly led to their split. “If that was me, she couldn’t even bring his name up. She’d know that. She couldn’t even bring her exes’ names up. Don’t give that s—t no energy. It’s about me. I’m taking care of everything.”
Ciara let her social media do all the talking in her response to the father of her son, Future Zahir. She posted a picture of herself with a tall building behind her and captioned the post, "Rise Up."
Her husband also shared his thoughts. The QB posted a picture of Future Zahir hugging his sister Sienna, who is Ciara and Russell's first child together. "All that matters. #LOVE," he wrote.
