Jana Duggar posted a tribute to her late grandmother Mary after she died on Sunday, June 9 at age 78. The Counting On star then revealed she was able to spend the morning with her grandmother before she unexpectedly passed away in the afternoon.

Jana, 29, posted a series of photos on June 10 Mary along with her other family members. She wrote, “Grandma Duggar will be greatly missed!! ❤️.”

The Counting On star revealed, “On her last morning spent here on earth I drove Grandma to church where she worshiped her Savior.”

She continued, “Later that afternoon, she went to meet Him face to face! I’d say that’s probably how she would’ve chosen to finish out the day if she got to pick.”

The family revealed in a statement on Facebook that Mary, who is the mom of Jim Bob and Deanna, had passed away. They added Mary was also the grandmother of “21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with several more great-grandchildren on the way.”

Jana expressed, “Grandma made a deep impact on each of our lives—first and foremost through her relationship with Jesus Christ, and secondly through her example of sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus with others!”

The Counting On star ended her post, “She would always be talking about the day she would see her Savior’s face and how much she looked forward to it! Yesterday was that day! She knew where she’d spend eternity and wanted everyone else to know that for themselves too.”
