Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald had “date night” at the grocery store on February 20! The Counting On couple shared photos from their time away from their three children and gushed about the little things they love to do together.
Jessa, 27, posted a photo of her and Ben, 24, smiling together in the middle of a grocery aisle. “Let’s be real — I live off grocery pickup most of the time,” she admitted. “But grocery shopping is never more enjoyable than when we do it together. #datenight.”
She also revealed they “propped the iPhone up on a ledge and used the 3-sec timer” to take the photo.
Despite the sweet caption, Jessa’s cousin Amy disagreed about the joy of their date night. “Cute. And might I add grocery shopping with your husband and smiling doing so is no easy task!” Amy, 33, commented. “Dillon Kingand I get sooo annoyed with each other. We learned rather quickly if we wanted to stay married we should not grocery shop together.”
Other fans praised the couple for enjoying the small things. “I totally agree. On Valentine’s Day, my husband and I went on a date to lunch and then grocery shopping. We had not done that together in so long,” one person commented. Another fan said, “I love grocery shopping with my hubby! He always finds it hilarious and is it weird that we consider it a date?! Hehe.”
Ben also posted a photo of him and Jessa holding up Whole Foods bags when they left. “Just grabbing some smoked paprika, combing the fresh produce for sales, and picking up a few bags of locally roasted coffee,” he captioned the picture. “I love shopping with you @jessaseewald! Now let’s get in the kitchen and make something together. #datenight #health.”
In addition to the Counting On couple’s grocery store run, they also had a romantic dinner and got sushi. Jessa shared a few clips on her Instagram Story of Ben eating sushi. “It’s so good that I can’t really talk about it,” he joked.
