John David Duggar and his wife Abbie Burnett made a rare post on Instagram to celebrate the anniversary of their engagement! The private Counting On couple got engaged on July 16, 2018, and got married a few months later.
John David, 29, and Abbie, 27, posted photos from their engagement on their joint Instagram account. John David got down on one knee in a bed of roses arranged in the shape of a heart. They were also surrounded by planes as an ode to his career as a pilot.
The Counting On couple shared, “1 year ago today, we got engaged!!! Living in love together only gets sweeter with each passing day!”
His sister-in-law Anna commented on the post, “Y’all are adorable! Happy engagement anniversary! ?.”
Austin Forsyth and John Duggar’s sister Joy-Anna also wrote, “You guys are so perfect for each other! ?.”
The couple has been notably quiet on social media since the last season of Counting On ended in March. Their last post was on May 12. One fan commented, “We’ve missed your updates!!!”
Other fans were disappointed that the photos weren’t new. “Why do we always get old pictures that we’ve already seen? I like this couple, would love to see more recent and more about their life together! I’m sure it’s very sweet ?,” one fan wrote.
