Josiah, 22, and Lauren, 19, first revealed the news in an emotional video shared on the TLC blog, TLCme. They soon released a written statement via their Instagram sharing the news with fans in more detail.

The couple said at first, they wanted to “just stay quiet” about what happened but ultimately changed their mind. “Since everyone is anticipating for us to announce that we're having a baby, we felt like it was time that we told everyone that our first and only baby is in heaven,” they wrote.
