Demi Lovato Teases New Music For Her ‘Loyal’ Fans In Recording Studio

Demi Lovato fans, rejoice! The Grammy-nominated singer announced that she has new music on the way for her “loyal” fans. Demi, 27, hasn’t released any music since before she completed rehab for substance abuse issues in November 2018. The “Cool For The Summer” singer said she uses her career as motivation to keep going despite her difficult year and ongoing addiction battle.

"Recording a song for my loyal #Lovatics," Demi wrote on an Instagram story shot of a microphone that hung in a pink and purple recording studio. "The ones who support me and whatever makes me happy…"

"If you hating - that ain't you! BYE," the Disney Channel alum continued, and added a waving hand emoji. The last song Demi released was entitled “Sober” in June 2018.

The “Skyscraper” singer also shared a video of the Grammy-nominated producer Oak Felder in a recording studio, as he danced to an unheard song in a silent clip."Wouldn't y'all like to hear…" Demi teased her 75.2 million followers. Oak and Demi collaborated on several of her songs, including "Sorry Not Sorry," "Sexy Dirty Love," "Daddy Issues," Only Forever," and, “Games” from her 2017 album Tell Me You Love Me.

After a tumultuous 2019, the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer finally returned to the studio. Demi reflected on what would have been seven years sober in March 2019. In July 2018, she was hospitalized for an overdose and completed rehab for substance abuse issues. “I don’t regret going out because I needed to make those mistakes but I must never forget that’s exactly what they were: mistakes,” she wrote on Instagram.

Demi also lost a friend after their long battle with addiction. The “Don’t Forget” singer was devastated by Thomas’ death in October, and posted a poignant message to her followers, reminding them that addiction is no joke and that it’s okay to ask for help if you need.

However, things appear to be improving for the Barney & Friends alum. Aside from her new music, the Camp Rock actress is also excited about her new boyfriend. On November 12, she and Austin Wilson made their relationship Instagram official with mirror selfies, both captioned “My love.”

“Demi and Austin have been friends for some time and started dating a little while ago,” a source told People about her new beau. “They’re enjoying spending time together and getting to know each other better. Demi is in a really good place right now and hard at work in both the studio and shooting Will & Grace.”
