Engaged?! Get Details On Demi Lovato And Wilmer Valderrama's Wedding Plans

Friends of the couple told OK! that they're not surprised by the engagement news but are very excited for them. "Wilmer’s so good for her, and Demi’s madly in love with him," a source said. "They’ve been to hell and back and emerged stronger than ever."

Wilmer has stuck by Demi through some of the most difficult times in her life, which includes a stint in rehab in 2010 to deal with her eating disorder and alcohol and drug abuse. Demi's even credited her beau for being the reason she's still alive today.

Wilmer has a bit of a crazy past just as Demi does, though. He notoriously dated a ton of Hollywood "It" girls including Mandy Moore and Lindsay Lohan (and talked publicly about their sex lives!), plus proudly showed off his bachelor lifestyle on an old episode of MTV's Cribs.

But Demi has tamed Wilmer's wild ways and he's done the same for her. “He’d say, ‘I can’t be around you if you’re not going to get your stuff together,'" Demi has said of how Wilmer helped whip her into shape. We're glad his tough-love approach worked!
