According to reports, a man named David Matthew Read allegedly reported the actress’ American Express card lost or stolen way back in March, and as a result a new card with the same number was delivered to him.

Seizing the opportunity, David allegedly took the card and swiped it at high-end retailers including Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue in L.A.—and racked up a staggering $169,000 bill!

Read was reportedly seen on surveillance cameras and was later caught before he confessed.
