John, 39, was equally as emotional while watching his wife accept the prestigious award, attempting to keep his tears at bay.

"Oh my goodness me. Guys, that truly has completely blown my slicked hair back," the British actress joked as she started her speech. "Thank you so, so, so much. I am so moved and completely lost for words and unprepared," she explained before thanking The Office star, who directed and co-wrote the script with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck.

"I am going to share this completely with my husband, John Krasinski, because the entire experience of doing this with you has completely pierced my heart directly. You are a stunning filmmaker. I am so lucky to be with you and to have done this film with you," she said.

Emily then joked about John casting her. "Thank you for giving me the part. You would have been in major trouble if you hadn't, so you didn't really have an option, so thank you," she told the amused audience at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Shortly after, the Mary Poppins Returns star then thanked the "two little poems in our life," — referring to the couple's daughters Hazel, 4, and Violet, 2. And while she is extremely proud of this movie, the 35-year-old joked that their children will be "at least 45 before they see this film."

Among many reasons, this award is especially monumental as it is Emily's first SAG win, after being nominated in 2017 for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her performances in The Girl On The Train and again this year for Mary Poppins Returns.
