Emily Simpson is trying to bounce back after her painful hip replacement surgery. The Real Housewives of Orange County star took herself out of the house for the first time since her procedure on Sunday, November 3.
The 43-year-old shared details of her outing on her Instagram Stories and took in some pampering to help herself heal. Emily got herself a hydra facial treatment to refresh her skin. "My first time out of the house since surgery! About to get a facial," she wrote under a closeup snap of her clear skin.
As soon as the treatment concluded, the mother of three shared another clip of herself at the medical center and wrote, "Now back to bed. I'm exhausted!"
The Bravo celeb also gave fans an update on her health following her surgery. She underwent the painful procedure on October 28. Alongside another closeup photo of her enflamed hip, she revealed her left side is so swollen she is unable to wear pants. A bandage was securely placed on her hip. "My left hip/area is swollen to the size of a tree trunk. I can't even get sweatpants over the swelling," she winced.
On November 4, the lawyer-turned-reality star shared a video of herself in recovery and updated her followers on her current pain level. "I feel better today! I walked down the stairs with just a little help from my husband Shane. My son Luke carried my walker down for me. I'm getting around better on the walker. I'm pretty fast. But I still can't walk without it or put much weight on my bad leg/hip," she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
"The swelling is better today and I cut back significantly on my pain medication. I actually got dressed and put shoes on. Progress!" she continued.
Her son also helped his momma heal by acting as her personal healthcare professional. "My cute little in-house nurse," she gushed in another IG clip. The video had her son massaging her leg on the couch.
