Albanian pop star Bleona has released eight albums and performed in sold-out arenas across Eastern Europe in her decade-long career. The “Madonna of Albania” is one of the highest profile artists in her country, but can she achieve a similar success in America?

That’s what her and five other aspiring celebrities – Fawni, Isabel Adrian, Jannik Olander, Massimo Dobrovic, Sascha Gerecht – are trying to discover as they leave their home countries for Los Angeles in an effort to take Hollywood by storm!

The singer exclusively opened up to OKMagazine.com about why she joined Bravo’s Euros of Hollywood, how she plans to make it in America, and why she can’t seem to get along with her costar Fawni.

OKMagazine.com: What is your American dream?

Bleona: My American dream is to have the same exact success as I had in my home country. My global dream is to rock the world and fill out stadiums and be on tours. I’m at the point in my life that after you buy all the houses, all the cars, all the shoes, all the bags, you really make a conversation with yourself as far as what makes you happy. What makes me happy is music and I want to be a musician for life. The best way to do this is to, of course, come to America because the minute you make it in America you’ve basically made it everywhere.

OKMagazine.com: Why did you decide to join Euros of Hollywood?

Bleona: Reality TV is a platform to release music. As a European, I thought it would be a good idea for me to be introduced. At the end of the day, I’m really proud of my roots. I’m enjoying the ride and I want to see where it’s going to take me. It’s something very exciting for me.

OKMagazine.com: The trailer for the rest of the season was full of drama! What has been the root of the fighting for you and your co-stars?

Bleona: I didn’t know these people from before. We just met on the show and they don’t know me and I don’t know them. Everyone is going to be skeptical in the beginning of each other. The only thing that I can guarantee you guys for the show is that the show is going to be action-packed and I have been doing me. I have been as real as it gets and I have in general decided to live with no filter. I believe in honestly, I don’t believe in gossip. I never compromised who I am because of the show or what everybody else has to say.

OKMagazine.com: What are your thoughts on the season premiere? Especially the negative comments your co-star Fawni made about you?

Bleona: It’s interesting for me to see another side of me. The way I was portrayed, and here I see another blonde wannabe Barbie doll airhead Fawni trying to judge me without any base to what she’s saying. This girl feels like she can trash everyone and you’re like, ‘Honey no, this is not going to happen. I will grind you to the ground to make you back up everything you said about me.’ I decided to be like ‘Hey, back up what you’re saying first.’ I’m going to make her stand up and swallow those words.

OKMagazine.com: How difficult was it for you to leave your country and start a new life here?

Bleona: It has been incredibly hard and an incredibly humbling experience because just being on a reality show, people are going to see a never-seen side of me. You have no control of how people are going to portray you. For me, it’s been a new experience, something I was looking forward to doing. After you reach a certain success, there is basically nothing more you could do over there. You think, what if I went to a different country and I had to do this all over again? Would I be able to make it? This is a challenge I want to prove first to myself and then to everybody else.

OKMagazine.com: Why do you think it is difficult to break out in America? What are some steps you will take to reach success here?

Bleona: It’s such a big market and there is such amazing talent. I believe the best people come from all over the world. At some point in their life they move in America to make it. The level of competition here is super high. I’m talking for real singers not the wannabes on the show who think they‘re real singers. The music industry is a tough cookie to bite, other world super stars have set the bar so high that you have to meet their standards or you have no chance to be on the map. I’m going to make sure I meet the bar.

OKMagzine.com: How can our readers check out your music?

Bleona: Everything is on iTunes. They can follow me on Twitter or they can watch my YouTube channel. They’re going to have to wait for upcoming songs that Timbaland produced for me in English and my ninth album.

Euros Of Hollywood airs Mondays at 10/9c on Bravo.
