Jill Duggar does her best to make her husband Derick Dillard look like the “best hubby ever” on Instagram, but fans aren’t buying it. When the former Counting On star praised her man for picking up dinner, fans slammed the dad of two for doing “the bare minimum.”

Jill posted this pic of the couple’s sushi dinner at home by candlelight.
“When the kids are sick and your hubby picks up date night dinner on the way home. ?? @derickdillard you’re the best! #lovemyhubby❤️,” she wrote.
Fans weren’t impressed with Derick’s gesture. “Wow! Congrats to Derick for doing the bare minimum!! What a guy!” one fan snarkily commented.
“You say it like it’s a rare thing to do… no hunny it’s the least he could do to help make your day easier,” said another.
Others appreciated Derick’s effort. “So sweet! I love when couples make date night something so simple! It doesn’t have to be fancy, just intentional :),” wrote a fan.
“That is so sweet and thoughtful!! Very nice!” a fan agreed.
Jill is often calling Derick the “best hubby ever” on social media, but fans are still quick to criticize him. When Jill posted a photo of them sharing a kiss, followers accused them of forcing the romance.
