Jill Duggar took to Instagram yet again to sing her husband Derick Dillard’s praises, and fans aren’t buying it. They think the former Counting On star is going overboard to convince fans her marriage is perfect after her hubby’s controversial comments got them kicked off the TLC show.

Jill posted a black and white photo of Derick playing on the floor with their son Israel. “Love this man!” she captioned it. “He gets up early to head out before traffic gets bad, works all day, then comes home after most people and puts out more energy to invest in our boys and me!”

“@derickdillard you’re still my fave!” she gushed. She added the hashtags, “#forevermine #manofmydreams #youvegotmyheart #imsoinlove #thankyou #gratefulwife.”

Fans thought the caption went a little overboard. “She is so desperate for him to look good, you’d think he discovered penicillin,” one fan wrote. “There's a difference between appreciating and trying to convince everyone he’s so amazing,” said another.

Another fan said Derick wouldn’t have to work so hard if his transphobic Twitter rant against fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings hadn’t gotten them kicked off the show in the first place. “Why put him on a pedestal?” the fan asked. “He wouldn’t be in the predicament he is in (having this be his new normal) if he wouldn’t have dug his own grave with TLC.”

Derick recently began law school, and some fans think Jill might be laying on the love thick because she’s worried about her man meeting new ladies. She even tagged along to one of his classes, just days after she posted photo of herself studying a Bible proverb called “Warnings Against Adultery.”

What do you think of Jill’s gushing post for Derick? Do you think she’s doing damage control? Sound off in the comments below.
