Gabrielle, 46, and husband Dwyane Wade welcomed their first child together, daughter Kaavia, in November 2018. The actress is already a stepmom to Dwyane's sons, Zaire, Zion and Xavier.
While speaking to Us Weekly, the Omaha native revealed she does not have any "mom guilt" since her daughter was born. “I don’t have mom guilt, and I’ll tell you why,” she started.
The America's Got Talent judge continued, "Being able to have the job that I love and the baby that I dreamed of is great. I’m a better mom because I’m able to go away and do what I love. Even if I failed miserably."
"I’m following my dreams.... I would be less of a mother if I didn’t set out every day to try to make my dreams come true and other people’s dreams come true. So I don’t have guilt," Gabrielle added.
She also recalled the support she received from fellow new moms. “We all grew up like, ‘Go, Mom, go. Go, Mom, go!’ Not like, ‘Why are you missing things?’ but, ‘Way to go, I’m glad you’re living your dream.' We’re all kind of rooting for each other," she said.
In the June issue of Glamour, the 10 Things I Hate About You starlet admitted that she felt stressed after becoming a mother. “I don't even know if I’m feeling guilt or fear or exhaustion. I don't know. I feel nuts,” Gabrielle revealed.
