Kit Harington must know something! After five years together, the Game of Thrones star has finally proposed to his girlfriend and former co-star Rose Leslie! An insider told The Sun that the fan favorite pair, who play Jon Snow and Ygritte on the hit HBO show, “told friends and family last week that they’ve got engaged.” Click through for all the details on the couple’s long-awaited engagement!
“Kit’s known for ages he wanted to marry Rose, but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first,” the source told The Sun, noting that the couple hadn’t set a wedding date yet.
Kit and Rose took their first major step towards a future together when they moved into a £1.75 million house in East Anglia back in January. “I’ve moved in with my other best friend Rose, so I’m very happy,” the HBO actor revealed to James Corden on The Late Late Show.
“After moving in together in January, he felt it was the right time to take the next step,” the insider told The Sun.

Kit and Rose first met back in 2012 while filming season two of Game of Thrones in Iceland. Kit called Iceland his favorite time shooting the show, mainly because it was where he and Rose first fell in love!
“The three weeks in Iceland when we were shooting the second season. Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love,” Kit explained.
