Former Real Housewives of Orange County stars Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley just welcomed their first child together — daughter Skylar — but the happy couple might have another huge reason to celebrate. A few eagle-eyed fans are convinced that pair tied the knot weeks before welcoming their new bundle of joy.
On July 17, Gretchen, 40, took to Instagram and posted a series of photos taken hours after Skylar’s birth. “And then there were 3,” the reality star wrote in a lengthy caption.
“Thank you to the good Lord above for the most precious gift we have ever been given!” she added. “Our perfect little miracle!”
The slideshow featured intimate pictures of the proud parents and their newborn, but fans were more interested in Gretchen’s hospital attire.
On the pink and white hospital gown she wore were the initials “GCS,” presumably for Gretchen Christine Smiley rather than Gretchen Christine Rossi. Fans are convinced that the monogram means the couple exchanged vows and made things official.
The former Bravo celebrity has previously claimed that she and Slade, 45, have no plans to tie the knot, but rumors swirled that her baby shower doubled as a wedding ceremony. Her decision to wear white to the event and the fact that an ordained minister was in attendance, only intensified the speculation.
However, she denied the rumors in May. “We’re not getting married, I hate to burst your bubble,” she told People. “Yes, my dress is white. And we thought about it for a very small second and then I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be fun to have another big party?’"
