Ray J and Princess Love marriage on is on the fritz. The Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood stars' relationship has apparently hit a bump in the road after they seemingly broke up. Princess, 35, publicly accused Ray J, 38, of leaving her and their 17-month-old daughter Melody stranded in Las Vegas to go party with “escorts.”
A source close to the couple claims that two have spoken since the incident and have decided to go to couple’s therapy. “Ray J’s mother Sonja is the one who got him to come to his senses. She reached out to Princess’ mother and the two mothers stepped in to stop the nonsense,” the source told MTO news. “Ray J was not treating Princess right, his mama had to come and set him straight,” the insider continued. “But Princess wasn’t right either, their business didn’t need to be on social media.”
However, The Shaderoom reported on Wednesday, November 27 that the two were apparently not getting back together and are only communicating when it comes to their daughter. A source told the media outlet that despite Ray J being spotted at Princess' maternity shoot, he was only there to watch their daughter and that Princess had no idea he was recording her.
The incident all began after the “One Wish” singer shared a since-deleted family photo from the BET Soul Train Awards on November 17, 2019. “Thank you @BET, #SoulTrainAwards @princesslove @melodylovenorwood,” the singer captioned the picture of himself posing with a pregnant Princess and Melody.
Princess commented on the photo when it was later reposted by another media outlet. “Left me and Melody stranded in Vegas and blocked me from calling… now you wanna post family posts,” Princess commented along with a laughing emoji.
The singer denied claims that he left his family stranded in a video posted on social media. “I am my family. I love my family. I’ve dedicated my life to my family. To insinuate that I would do anything to harm my daughter is just sad man.” Ray J expressed. “To take this to social media and create this crazy story about me leaving my baby in harm’s way is not cool. Our circle needs to be tight like that. Nobody should be able to get in it. If we get into something big or small, we should be able to hug each other and love each other and listen to each other and understand what we need to do to make it right.”
Princess admitted on Instagram Live that the couple’s relationship had taken a turn for the worse when she found out that Ray J had a secret second phone and was allegedly “entertaining other women.”
Ray J and Princess tied the knot in August 2016 after four years of dating. In May 2018, they welcomed theirfirst child together and are expecting their second child in the upcoming weeks.
