Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma are married. The couple secretly tied the knot at their home in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 22, according to People.
A source close to the couple said, “The wedding was at her house. It was small and low-key. Only family and close friends.” Adding, “The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard.” The insider also told People, “her sister Haylie was very involved in the wedding prep too. Hilary and Haylie are very close.”
Another insider told JustJared, “It was a love-fest. A small and intimate ceremony at her house with friends and family.”
The Younger actress’s stylist, Jessica Paster, also hinted at the wedding on her Instagram account. “Winter solstice … a day of luv,” the fashion expert captioned a snap of assorted flowers.
The wedding ceremony comes seven months after the Lizzie McGuire star announced her engagement in May 2019 on her Instagram account. “He asked me to be wife,” Hilary captioned a picture of her ring. Matthew posted the same snap, writing: “I asked my best friend to marry me … @hilaryduff.” The actress jokingly commented, “Thanks for the promotion babe.”
Hilary and Matthew first got together in January 2017 but split shortly after in March. However, by September the Agent Cody Banks actress and the songwriter had gotten back together.
In June 2018 Hilary and Matthew announced that they were expecting their first child together. “Guess what guys! @matthewkoma and I made a little princess of our own and we couldn’t be more excited !!!” Hilary captioned a photo of Matthew kissing her cheek. On October 25, 2018, the pair welcome their daughter Banks Violet Bair into the world. “This little bit has fully stolen our hearts!” the actress wrote on Instagram. “She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic.”
This is the Disney Channel alum’s second marriage. The Cheaper By the Dozen actress was previously married to Mike Comrie, whom she shares their 7-year-old son Luca Cruz with.
