Hilary Duff has made her musical comeback! On February 12, the Lizzie McGuire actress appeared on a cover track of Third Eye Blind’s “Never Let You Go” with her husband Matthew Koma and the Grammy-winning producer RAC.
Hilary, 32, can be heard singing the hook throughout the track. “I’ll never let you go,” the mother of two crooned. Paper Magazine hailed the lively track as “peak 2000s nostalgia.”
“Never Let You Go is out now!” RAC, whose real name is André Allen Anjos, Tweeted. “Our take on the @thirdeyeblind classic. This started out as something we were doing just for fun and I think it comes through.”
When the video dropped on YouTube, fans were excited to see Hilary making music again. “Thank you for making this real, we love Hilary so much! Thank you for bringing her back to the music! ? Hilary please come back and save pop music!” one user gushed. “Disney Queen is back ❤️❤️❤️,” another wrote. “We need more songs solo Hilary! ? Release a new album!!!” a third begged the Disney Channel alum.
The last time the Cinderella Story actress released music was in 2016 with the single “Little Lies.” Her other albums include Metamorphosis, Most Wanted plus a self-titled album, Hilary Duff.

The Third Eye Blind cover is the first musical collaboration between Hilary and Matthew, 32. The couple began dating in 2017. The following year, they announced that they were expecting their first baby together. “Guess what guys! @matthewkoma and I made a little princess of our own and we couldn’t be more excited !!!” the Agent Cody Banks actress wrote on Instagram at the time.
The couple welcomed Banks on in October 2018. Hilary shares son 7-year-old son Luca with ex Mike Comrie.
In May 2019, Matthew popped the question to the Disney Channel alum. They tied the knot later that year in an intimate ceremony. “The wedding was at her house. It was small and low-key. Only family and close friends,” an insider for People dished. “The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard.”
