Hilary Duff shared the first look of her wedding dress on Instagram! The Younger star got married to Matthew Koma on December 21 in a secret ceremony in the couple’s home.
Hilary, 32, posted a photo on December 22 of her and Matt, 32, posing in front of a decorated Jeep that had “Just Married” written on the rear window.
The Younger star wore an elegant off-white dress with cape sleeves and an open back. Matt wore a simple white shirt, black tux, a black bow and a pink boutonniere to match Hilary’s bouquet.
“This,” the mom-of-two captioned the photo. Mathew posted the same image and wrote, “For the rest of forever… 12.21.19.”
Hilary opened up about the details of picking her wedding dress designer and all of the special things she wanted to include in an interview with Vogue. “I sat down with my stylist, Jessica Paster, and we went through many designers and looked at their aesthetics, and together we settled on Jenny Packman,” the actress revealed. “Her work is so beautiful.”
“It’s not heavy, but it fits like a glove,” the Lizzy McGuire star said of her dress. “There’s a very modern shoulder. When we were coming up with the design, it was important to me that it was striking but simple. I couldn’t imagine wearing a big fluffy dress.”
Hilary added a few special details embroidered into her dress. “There’s a sweet little embroidery with our initials. There’s an M&H with the date of our wedding,” she said before adding, “There’s initials for our kids. They’re part of our ceremony and, obviously, the biggest part of our life. Maybe someday Banks will want to wear my dress and she can add to it.”
The couple welcomed their daughter Banks in October 2018. Hilary has a 7-year-old son named Luca, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie.
After the wedding, Hilary changed into a gold crop top and matching high waisted pants for the reception. She shared photos of the ensemble on her Instagram Story.
Hilary and Matt’s wedding comes seven months after the couple announced their engagement on Instagram. The pair first started dating in January 2017 before splitting in March 2017. The couple eventually got back together in September 2017 and have stayed together ever since.
