Demi Lovato harbors no ill will towards old flame Wilmer Valderrama. The That '70s Show actor announced his engagement to girlfriend Amanda Pacheco on January 1 and Demi has some thoughts on her ex-boyfriend's new milestone.

Demi, 27, and Wilmer 39, started dating in 2010 and split in 2016 after six years together. Wilmer and Amanda, 28, began seeing each other in April 2019. He shared footage of his proposal on social media on New Year's Day. "'It’s just us now' 01-01-2020," Wilmer wrote alongside a snap of himself getting down on one knee in front of a sunset.

An insider recently dished to E! News about the "Cool for the Summer" singer's reaction. "She's happy for Wilmer if he's happy. She always wants the best for him in life and is glad he has found love."

The source added, "They will always be friends and have a special place in each other's hearts. But she also realized he wasn't going to be her life partner and she's known that for a while. She moved on from that and has been going in a different direction. She wishes him all the best though."

A source revealed to Us Weekly that the Disney Channel alum and the former Yo Momma host are supportive of each other despite parting ways in 2016.  “Demi knows about Amanda and is being equally as supportive as Wilmer has been of her recent relationships," the insider said.

“Wilmer is still wrapped up in Demi and that’s why they’ve always been so off and on and have continued their friendship as well as Wilmer’s relationship with Demi’s family," the insider continued. Wilmer visited Demi in the hospital several times after her July 2018 drug overdose.

The former couple released a joint statement at the time of their breakup. "After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship."

"This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends," they said. "We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years."

The Camp Rock star recently dated model Austin Wilson. However, they broke up in December 2019 after going public with their romance just a month prior. The two even deleted pictures of each on their social media accounts.
