Retired Miami Marlins shortstop Derek Jeter has put his massive Tampa Bay mansion up for sale and is looking to get $29 million for it.

According to listing agent Stephen Gay from Smith & Associates Real Estate, Jeter's place is one of the best houses to ever go up for sale in the Florida city.
"This is the most impressive home to ever hit the market in the Tampa Bay area," Gay said about the mansion on Davis Islands.
The massive property has been nicknamed "St. Jetersburg" by locals – and for good reason.
Being the most expensive and largest property on the islands, it features seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, eight half-baths, almost 9,000 square feet of outdoor space and sits on a 1.25 acres property overlooking Hillsborough Bay.
The 30,875-square-foot estate was custom-built according to Jeter's specifications in 2012 and served as the primary residence for himself and his wife, Hannah.
To round off the exclusive mansion, it also features several covered porches and balconies, two boat lifts and an 80-foot-long saltwater lap pool.
In the interior there is a grand salon and a clubroom with a full-service bar, billiards table and several TV screens. The Romanesque entrance hall with a bubbling fountain features a 24-foot-high foyer surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows.

With all the opulence, the rental agent jokingly said that the mansion won't be suitable for raising a family.
"You would think with a house that's this large, you'd just get lost in it," said the broker. "But with the mixed scale of the rooms, it's not like everything is so formal and segregated. It's definitely not a casual house, but it's very livable."
When Jeter became co-owner and CEP of the Marlins in 2017, the couple moved into a 19th-floor condo at the Grove at Grand Bay.
According to the New York Times, the property has been renovated to make it more secluded and to keep tourists away.
Surrounding the property is a six-foot-high wall referred to by local residents as "The Great Wall of Jeter."
The mansion might be the most expensive in the area, but Gay is sure that it might actually exceed the asking price.
"Tampa isn't an area with a large number of trophy properties but when they do become available, there's a lot of interest," he told the New York Times.
