It's been 14 years since Nickelodeon's hit tween series Zoey 101 left the air and we all cheered when Zoey ended up with Chase. The show ended after four seasons in 2008 and rumors circulated that it concluded because of star Jamie Lynn Spears' shocking teen pregnancy. But she put the gossip to rest when she posted a tribute to the show on its 14th anniversary on Instagram. Keep reading to hear what she said about the rumors.
The 27-year-old shared a video of her old show's catchy theme song on Wednesday, January 9.
“Are you ready? 14 years later…still a jam…," the country music singer wrote. The series premiered on Nickelodeon on January 9, 2005.
She then added the hashtags, "#itdidNOTendbecauseofpregnancy” and “#contractwasfinished.” Fans questioned the reveal and one asked, “Oh wow you didn’t quit because you were pregnant, you waited this long to tell us.” Jamie replied, “Nope … I went home to finish high school and was going to pursue movies.”

Her pregnancy was a controversial hot-button topic at the time. She was only 16 and she announced her news in late 2007. Zoey 101 ended just six months later.
Jamie is now parents to 10-year-old daughter, Maddie, whom she shares with ex Casey Aldridge. "The Journey" crooner later married country star Jamie Watson in 2014 and the two welcomed a baby girl named Ivey in April 2018.
