Jana Duggar already has a special bond with her twin John David’s newborn daughter Grace Annette! The Counting On star shared a sweet photo on January 25 of her cradling her youngest niece.
“Little Gracie! ❤️ She’s practically perfect in every way!” Jana, 30, captioned the photo of her niece who was born on January 7.
John David, 30, and his wife, Abbie, commented, “Oh, she’s gonna love her aunt Jana!!”
Jana was the first of John David’s 18 siblings who found out that Abbie, 27, was expecting. On a December 2019 episode of Counting On, Abbie surprised Jana with the news in a confessional.
“I got you a birthday present,” the nurse told her husband’s twin. Jana excitedly asked, “Are you expecting?”
Abbie confirmed, “I got you a baby for your birthday! It’s due right on y’all’s birthday, that week.”
Jana later organized Abbie’s baby shower along with her sister Jessa on January 3. “It was a sweet time celebrating Abbie with a shower before the arrival of their baby! We are counting down the days with you, Abbie, and can’t wait to meet your precious little girl and see her in all those new adorable outfits!!” the Duggar family wrote on Instagram.
Sure enough, John and Abbie’s daughter was born five days before the twins celebrated their 30th birthday on January 12.
“Ever since John and I were little we've been asked if we have that ‘twin thing.’ You know, the thing where you feel what the other one is feeling or know what the other one is thinking. Well, John, I've always answered that with a no—but now I can honestly say that the day little Gracie was born I felt every bit of happiness that you did, so I guess it must be real!” Jana captioned her birthday post to her twin.
She continued, “It’s so sweet watching you & Abbie as parents! You’re naturals! And the same qualities that have made you a wonderful brother will also make you an amazing dad.”
“Being an aunt to your little girl is priceless,” Jana ended her message. “Being your twin is an honor. Happy birthday, John!!”’
