Javi Marroquin is finally admitting he doesn’t make the smartest decisions when it comes to romance! In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, the Teen Mom 2 dad confessed he was on the verge of reconciling with his ex-wife Kailyn Lowry before he got back together with his ex-girlfriend Lauren Comeau instead. And even he realizes it wasn't the nicest move!
“Yes, Kail and I tried to get back together,” Javi told Radar. “We would see each other a lot at the kids’ extracurricular activities, so we would talk about it.” Javi and Kail share a son together, Lincoln, 4, and he also helps take care of her eldest son, Isaac, 8.
But Javi said Kail just couldn’t give him everything he needs. “I need love and affection. Kail isn't like that,” Javi explained. “I think we both knew it just wouldn’t work. I would get frustrated because I need more of a sure thing and she couldn’t give me that at the time.”
Rather than wait for Kail to come around, Javi jumped back into the arms of Lauren, whom he split from last September. “Kail was blindsided, which is my fault,” Javi admitted. “I kind of continued to do my own thing and didn’t wait for her to show me assurance. I definitely could’ve done things differently.”

Javi’s most recent ex, fellow Teen Mom 2 star Briana DeJesus, recently told Radar Javi “needs somebody all the time.” However, Javi denied it. “If I've dated and I leave, it’s because I don't see a future. I'm not wasting time. I need to date to find out what it is and what I want in the future,” he said.
As for how his relationship with Lauren is now that the news has gone public, Javi stayed mum. “I’m staying private with her. We’re taking in the moment,” he said.
