In 4:44, Hov addresses his affair almost line by line. It seems this album is a direct response to Beyoncé's powerful Lemonade, where she called out the rapper for cheating on her with Becky with the good hair.

In the song "4:44," Jay-Z implies he may have cheated with multiple women! "I apologize to all the woman whom I/ Toyed with you emotions because I was emotionless," he raps. 'I apologize 'cus at your best you are love/ And because I fall short of what I say I'm all about/ Your eyes leave with the soul that your body once housed/ And you stare blankly into space/ Thinking about all the time you wasted in on all the basic s**t so/ I apologize."

Another shocking revelation on the album is that Beyoncé almost cheated on Jay-Z! “You almost went Eric Benét,” Jay-Z raps in “Kill JAY-Z". Benét is a singer and actor who was previously married to Halle Berry. Berry left Benét after he cheated on her...with Bey???  “Let the baddest girl in the world get away," Hov says in the song.
