After being a disappearing act last year, Solange will attend the 2015 MTV VMAs on Sunday, but she won’t be talking about her music or recent marriage: it will be all about her sister and brother-in-law, who are forcing her to apologize for Elevatorgate…or else!

A source told OKMagazine.com that Solange has “been in the PR doghouse for some time” with Jay Z and Beyonce, who have “spent very limited time with her” since the fight erupted in May 2014. And now, they want her to use her appearance as a way to make things right.

“The plan is for her to acknowledge the rifts have healed and that she was wrong to fly off the handle,” the insider said.

But what’s in for Solange, especially since the fight was well over a year ago and no longer a daily topic of discussion? Well, aside from smoothing things over with her sister and brother-in-law, Jay Z has given her an offer she can’t refuse.

The source adds, “She has Jay’s word that he’ll help her get re-established at the very highest level, and before long she’ll be a dignified and serious force in music again.”
